Exhibition Largos: Entretempos Fotográficos

Look, it was with great affection that I received the generous invitation from @bobwolfenson to contribute to the exhibition “Largos: Photographic Intertimes” at @institutoviafoto.

It is an immeasurable honor to share space with artists of the caliber of @claudia_anduja.

In the past two years I photographed little, but at the same time I understood the time photography needs in order to become a document.

I think that in the moment I take a photo, I create both a memory and an un-memory. As if I no longer needed to remember, because I had created a physical memory.

And with this line of thought, my contribution comes with works from the series “Meu Coração” (My Heart).

Where the profound, insane, painful state of living aligns with a beautiful expectation of the future for Black boys like me.

Last but not least, I thank the curator @rodrigovillela for the care he gave my work.
